Platform lift gate lock assembly with rod, latch, contacts, spring bracket, & wiring harness for ThyssenKrupp Access Porch Lift models. Replaces 59486-1 & 59487-1.
This is a Platform locking assembly. It should not be confused with the similar, landing gate lock assembly.
This VPL platform gate interlock assembly is a complete rod-style safety locking system designed for select ThyssenKrupp Access porch lift units. Commonly found in aging VDR interlock configurations, this assembly integrates a mechanical latch, electrical contact points along the rod, and a sliding spring-loaded bracket to ensure proper gate closure and system operation. The included wiring harness connects the interlock to the lift’s control system, maintaining safety circuit continuity when the gate is secured.
The left-hand configuration replaces legacy part number 59487-1, while the right-hand configuration replaces legacy part number 59486-1. This assembly is ideal for restoring proper gate interlock functionality in older vertical platform lifts where original components are worn or no longer reliable.
