This selector brush PI switch is a known replacement for Thyssenkrupp Dover #9897719. 

In legacy, electromechanical elevator systems, like many Dover units that still run today, this assembly helps to track the elevator car’s location along the hoistway. 

All floor selector maintenance should be performed by licensed elevator personnel.
