National Wheel-O-Vator VPL Safety Pan Micro Switch 54mm Lever

This positive-action micro switch is designed for select National Wheel-O-Vator vertical platform lifts (VPLs) that use a movable safety pan beneath the lift platform. When the bottom pan contacts an obstruction during downward travel, the pan actuates the switch as part of the lift’s safety circuit, stopping descent.

The extended 54mm straight actuator arm provides additional material for fitting the switch to different safety pan configurations. The stainless steel lever is intended to be cut, bent, or otherwise formed as required for the individual application. This makes the switch suitable for replacement situations where actuator length and geometry must be matched to the existing safety pan assembly.

Based on the Saia-Burgess BVM3 positive-action switch design, this miniature switch uses a normally closed, single-pole mechanism with a contact gap greater than 3mm at full travel. Its compact side-mount housing and quick-connect terminals are suited to the space and connection requirements found in compatible VPL safety pan assemblies.
