Mounted on the roof of the elevator cab, this printed circuit board functions as a local connection hub for equipment located on or within the car. Often referred to as a car top control board, cartop board, or cab control board, it provides connection points for car-related circuits while facilitating communication between those devices and the elevator’s primary control system.
Its centralized design accommodates multiple car functions through dedicated connections, including stop, emergency light, alarm, and phone circuits. The board also provides color-designated RED, BLUE, and YLW communication connections along with terminal connections for associated car circuits. It is suitable for legacy elevator modernization, retrofit applications, and new installations using compatible EMI Porta components without being specific to an elevator brand or model.
