This replacement brake micro switch is designed for use in select ThyssenKrupp DAF-270 and ISIS elevator systems. It replaces legacy part MP320TWB and is also referenced by 9950-000-5435 and 9935939, making it easier to identify the correct replacement during maintenance or modernization projects.
Used as a dedicated brake monitoring microswitch (also commonly referred to as a proximity switch), this component continuously monitors the mechanical open and closed position of each individual brake circuit. By comparing the status of redundant brake circuits, it enables the elevator controller to detect redundancy loss or brake monitoring faults and immediately remove the lift from service if a mismatch is detected.
Original brake monitoring switches are factory-installed, precisely adjusted, and secured with safety varnish to maintain accurate switching points. Replacing this component requires careful mechanical readjustment to match the exact stroke of the disc brake assembly so the monitoring system functions as intended.
