NWOV, Cheney, Windsor, LEV Microswitch Safety Lever for DMI Locks

Direct replacement micro switch used in legacy elevator door interlocks for National Wheel-O-Vator, Windsor, Cheney, and LEV. Replaces #L1055 and M16255.

This subminiature snap-action micro switch is commonly used as the door open, door closed, or door locked sensing switch within legacy elevator interlock assemblies. It serves as a reliable electrical position sensor within aging DMI interlocks found on National Wheel-O-Vator (NWOV), Windsor, Cheney, and LEV elevators. In many installations, the switch is positioned near the latch, keeper, or beak reception point of the lock to monitor the mechanical position of the interlock during door operation.

The compact snap-action design delivers consistent switching with minimal actuator travel, making it well suited for precision interlock applications where repeatable position sensing is required. The straight lever actuator can interface with the lock’s moving components to signal the proper state of the interlock mechanism. This switch is commonly used as a replacement for legacy NWOV and Cheney interlock switches in older equipment where original parts are no longer available.

Because many legacy interlocks used modified actuators, replacement installations may require careful duplication of the original actuator configuration. When modification is necessary, the actuator should be altered only in accordance with the original manufacturer’s recommendations or duplicated from the existing switch configuration.
